Research Interests: | Research in the Cathomen Lab focuses on the improvement of the effectiveness and safety of designer nucleases (CRISPR-Cas and TALEN) for therapeutic genome editing. The goal is to develop novel immune cell therapies and hematopoietic stem cell preparations to treat patients suffering from HIV infection, primary immunodeficiencies and certain types of cancer. |
